In my last post I presented to you the newest party in Brasil (UP). Today I bring you the oldest party of the country: PCB, the brazilian communist party!

Created in 1922, the party went through rough times amd spent most of it’s history banned. But they still kept their activities. After the fall of the Soviet Union and the global crisis of ML movements worldwide,PCB was almost extinguished and suffered a severe blow. Only recently they started recovering and they are growing again in a process they name revolutionary reconstruction.

Just like UP, PCB is also using the elections as a way to grow and stop fascism. All of PCB campaing was made only with the members own money amd donations, which was ridiculous small. Communist candidates were all excluded from public debates and actively suppressed in bourgeois news.

Still, what matters is that PCB has made itself present and more and more people are slowly radicalizing. Fascism won’t simply vanish if Bolsonaro loses to Lula tomorrow. It won’t go away with a simple vote. The only thing capable of crushing it is socialism, is the working class organized. PCB and UP knows this, and that was their objective the whole election: to reorganize the working class

Both are great feminists, political agitators and comrades all around. To see Luna Oi’s support of Sofia was to be expected.

To say a little bit more, her support for PCB and not PT, PCR, PCO, PSOL or PC do B does show that she has a deeper understanding of our politics than most, Brazilian or gringo.
