The point of the tweet is that allegations about the CIA’s actions are treated as either “ummm conspiracy much?” (even if there is firm evidence of that activity) until they become “yeah they did that but it’s irrelevant because it happened too long ago” even if they publish their own internal files about it. Meaning that they can NEVER be held accountable for anything.
Where’s the evidence that they’ve changed their ways?
What do you mean? I don’t follow what you are asking the post is saying that the CIA is always able to avoid liability.
Oh, I was replying to the op in your post that’s implying they somehow don’t do any of that shit anymore. That’s my go-to response to them when they say things like that. What evidence is there that it stopped 50 years ago? None at all.
Sorry about the confusion. I should have been clearer.
Ah no problem haha I thought that might have been it. Like “how can you explain that ya dummy”. Sorry, been a long day.
Reminds me of someone who said, “liberals can’t pinpoint when the west stopped being bad and imperialist”.
Ah yes, US apparatus of state, famous for being ever fresh, ever changing. Currently represented internationally by checks notes a guy who was a senator during Cold War. I’m pretty sure there are a lot of people alive and still with some power who commited numerous atrocities as part of CIA in “ancient history”.
Not even touching how it’s still historically relevant and how CIA haven’t changed.
