In the 80s the “asshole billionaire real estate developer” was the bad guy in a ton of movies and modeled after guys like Trump. Just one I can think of off the top of my head is Batteries Not Included, and of course Back to the Future II
Yeah i knew he was the basis for a lot of those characters , but i think you could look even further back to like Hanna Barbera cartoons or black and white westerns where the evil banker that was gonna close the family ranch unless they got an inflated rent by the end of the month
