A couple of weeks ago I detailed how I was letting my grass do whatever it wanted until I found the foxtails were taking over.

I took alergy pills for three days straight and was able to cut the grass and rake it without an allergy attack.

I’m slowly adding natives in between my indoor projects.

These orange flowers look really nice now. Have you thought of other ground cover plants instead of grass if you are that allergic? What do you mean with natives? Other plants between the grass?

The grass didn’t bother me until I let it grow long and seed.

Current grass is slowly being removed. Wanted to have a little grass for my dogs but the native grasses are bunch grass which does not make a lawn. Decided I’d like to have native plants with earthen pathways in between.

This is all very slow because my wife wants me to focus attention/time on the inside of our 100+ year old house.

Ah I also have ahouse from 1930’s which is mostly wood and gets attacked from many angles, insects, water damage etc. Most of the time it is ‘ignore’ to be able to focus on single projects. If you do one small thing in the house everytime it will be enough right 😅
