is that right? i think i misunderstood net neurtrality .

I thought the idea was that net neutrality blocks creation of premium services for high bandwidth / high fideity services? surely netflix’d want that.

Unless it’s a market power thing, and Disney or other large media corps would monopolize and price them out of the premium market segment.

described as plainly as possible, net neutrality is the requirement that an ISP (like Comcast, CenturyLink, Starlink, etc) treat all traffic equally as it flows through its network on behalf of its customers. Without net neutrality, companies can do some nasty things, like if a big media company existed that was also an ISP (like Comcast…) they could do things like intentionally delay or otherwise mishandle traffic for competing streaming services while prioritizing their own.

net neutrality is good for Netflix because they have lots of bandwidth intensive content but they are not an ISP.

That’s what I’ve seen in the past. Like I’ve seen data showing that people working at a certain company donated to Bernie while there’s no way their company ever donated to him

Do you actually know or are you just assuming as well? lol

I assumed that some Internet data had any sense in it instead of being sensationalized. I think I’m still too naive for Internet🥺
