NWA POWERRR LISTED AS LEAVING CW APP

By Mike Johnson on 2024-09-24 10:06:00

All of the National Wrestling Alliance Powerrrr episodes, including this week’s episode that was added this morning, are currently listed as “expiring in six days”, which would mean that it would be all gone by Tuesday 10/1, the same day WWE NXT debuts on The CW Network.

PWInsider.com has reached out to the NWA for comment and for word on where the material may be migrating.Next week’s episode of Powerrr would showcase the NWA 76 event from Philadelphia, headlined by EC3 vs. Thom Latimer for the NWA Championship. That match is main eventing next week’s episode of Powerrr.

This is that shit MLW was in court over with WWE swooping in and saying don’t you dare work with them.

    • ECW on TNN

    • MLW on Tubi

    • (Maybe MLW on Reelz depending on who you want to believe.)

    • NWA on CW

It may not actually be WWE, but this sure happens a lot when they get on channels. Hell, the NWA stuff may not be correct, but… if it walks like a duck.

    Edit: Bullet Points

Edit 2: Should be interesting to see if WOW follows, they appear on some CW affiliates.

I’m pretty sure Samhain did piss CW off pretty badly. Before then, NWA was supposedly going to have a show on CW’s network; after, suddenly NWA was relegated to the app and CW was talking to WWE.

Probably the execs saw that show and realized just what they bought into, so they quietly buried the show on the app and let the contract run out.

I was at that show. I figured “Well, I’ve been fighting cancer for most of 2023, let me go to this wrestling show. I’ve never been to an NWA show before!”

      And that show was Samhian.
