DuckDuckGo is essentially claiming that although Google has introduced these products with the promise of more privacy, it still ultimately compromises your privacy as these products are “creepy” and “privacy-invasive.”
As for FLEDGE, DuckDuckGo argues that it works similarly to third-party cookies. This makes it counterproductive because it also allows advertisers to target you on other websites by asking Google to tag and place you in an interest group.
