    If anyone in the greater Seattle area needs one of these printed, I can do it for you. I even have Cascadia colors if you want to go blue, green, and white to represent the PNW. (otherwise, I’ve got black and white.)

    Hell yes we need to open source stuff like this. Looking at the video it looks like it replaces the muscle used to move the top two parts of the digit (flange?) with a simple spring which is such a simple and elegant design. I wonder if there’s issues with the spring “biting” skin/hair.

      I’m not sure the elastic cord is such a great idea. A regular piece of string, or dyneema kite line or something inelastic would probably provide real, proper gripping strength. But I wouldn’t know because I still have all my fingers, so it’s not like I have any experience in the matter 🙂

      It looks like cord runs inside a piece of tubing on top of the hand where it might bite on hair.
