Escalation of the dose of itraconazole resulted in a complete loss of all symptoms of autism over the course of three months. This rapid complete reversal of autism is consistent with several articles proposing mold in general and Aspergillus specifically as a potential major cause of autism.

    I think we really are in our infancy when it comes to treating certain disorders. My wife had a stomach issue caused by an overgrowth of Candida fungus in her digestive track. 10 years ago, they would not have known how to look for that or diagnose it. I think there is still tons of useful research to be done in how the microbes in our bodies affect our lives.
