Very cool update. It seems like a real mountain you guys are having to climb with this DE, however. Do you guys think you’ll have something even remotely usable by the average person in the next year or two? It just seems like a lot of work, as cool as it is.
It’s already very usable in its current state, and most of the tooling is complete for libcosmic. Application development will be even faster than what was needed for libcosmic.

The Appearance panel in Settings, where you may also create a custom theme.
What’s the current estimate for the release of COSMIC desktop environment as the default desktop environment for Pop_OS and System76 computers?

Is this targeted for release in April 2024 (when ubuntu’s next lts version which launch)?
It will launch when it’s ready, using 24.04 as the base.
