Did we ruin Harry Winks, or has he found his level?

I think Winks will be a success back in the Prem.
All he ever needed was someone to show confidence in him and give him regular football doing what he does. He just never got that at Spurs, he’s not flash enough.
We would’ve treated N’Golo Kante just the same. Different type I know but the principle’s the same.
The bloke that does the hard yards without a goal threat or many assists isn’t for Spurs.Bentancur is the closest we have now but he will get in the box.
Saar gets shots off, maybe not the most accurate, where Winks would recycle that ball, I do think with Winks you have to accept he does a job. That’s it. No frills.
That comes down to coaching though, no? I’d have thought Ange would have him pushing up, passing forward and, yes, shooting too. I guess we’ll never know now.
Yeah it does but can you imagine Ange changing Ray Wilkins, he’d still have got dizzy in the final third

Marcesa’s happy with him and vis versa. Can’t have felt good to be marginalised. We do luv flashy play - why we’re all in luv with Angeball!
Hope he continues to thrive with Leicester and wish him well.

@beingreal @hallenbeck Harsh but witty, and I laughed.

Top 5 Championship/bottom 5 EPL seems about right. Occasional games (Real Madrid) notwithstanding, he was a very good player who broke down under high pressure and was then unable to be progressive. But good tackler, mostly good positioning, safe@hallenbeck @coys @spurs yes
