Being in a place where social interaction is likely is an adventure by itself.
True friendship is when you can be together and not feel the need to entertain or be entertained.
Many people who self identify as extroverts are just deathly afraid of silence and isolation as it may lead them to pay attention to their own thoughts.
Introverts have outdoor asventures too. I go hiking solo a lot. Sometimes a fellow introverted friend will come with me. We hike for 10 hrs and say 8 words to each othe. Its great.
No, this looks like entirely too much social effort and awkwardness. One or both of them will cancel this playdate 30 minutes before it’s supposed to start.
Best Sundays I ever had was going over to a friend’s house and reading the Sunday Hartford Courant and New York Times. Then maybe we would pop out for an early dinner or order take-out. We would swap sections, talk about what we read and just enjoy each other’s company.
