Doesn’t that just mean praise god or god is good or something similar?
It means God is great. It is a pretty mundane term. It is also used where Americans might say oh shit or something similar.
There was a pilot who crashed and the cockpit recorder recorded him saying Allah Akbar many times. The Arabs said that is common in situations of stress. As such, it is something to be freaked about when someone says it.
Yes. Its the war cry of islamic terrorists, most famously used during the 9/11 attacks.
So either the most tone-deaf people ever, or supporting 9/11.
It literally just means god is great (or something similar). It’s like when people who stormed the capitol on Jan 7 were chanting “USA USA USA”. Is “USA” a war cry for treason and insurrection?
It’s also used for many other purposes. As Americans we are not exposed to Islamic culture often. In the army they trained us in it for deployment.
At the wtc site? At ground zero? Again, either super tone deaf, or supporting 9/11. I dont see whatelse it might be. Maybe threatening another 9/11?
Lots of words were involved in the 9/11 attacks. That doesn’t mean those words signify those attacks.
Dont be obtuse. Theyre declaring themselves Islamic at the site of the worst Islamic terrorist attack ever on American soil. A lot of people remember those attacks. A lot of people lost friends and family in those attacks.
This is not some quirky “oh look at the different culture, isnt it so neat?” this shit is nasty.
You are just a bigoted moron.
Rule 1, civility. At least come up some sort of argument.
Warning, no ban.
Who cares? It’s like when James Bond says “for king and country”. It’s just a statement of allegiances, and these people are declaring allegiance to God.
Not the Christian god, that’s the problem “conservatives” have.
Same god.
Allegiance to Islam, at the site of the worst Islamic terrorist attack on America soil.
It’s little more than just declaring allegiance to their god.
