Beijing’s aggressive pursuit of energy self-sufficiency could give it the upper hand in the trade war with the US

Very roughly, the plan to get rid of fossil fuels looks like:

  • Generate electricity without burning stuff
  • electrify everything we can
  • Stop doing the few things we can’t electrify

So this is a big deal in terms of getting where we need to go.
