Found this on the wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_food_energy_intake Apparently, only five African countries have lower calorie intakes.

It could be misleading but if I search for similar statistics on this country I get similar results. I believe the embargo has something to do with it, if not most to do with it.

What insight or comments can you guys give?

    It’s called “cutting”, and it is done to show those massive gains you got by bench pressing 405 at the gym.

    Jokes aside, you already had some good answers, mainly bad terrain and sanctions.
