Does anyone here have experience comparing the times of the Garmin race predictor for different events? I know that usually it slightly overestimates me or that I haven’t been able to run the time yet, but I’m curious how the estimations compare for different distances.

Or otherwise in general, what are your thoughts on sports-watch/app generated predicted race times?

I am generally stronger at the longer distance when I compare myself to my running mates. And this is also reflected in my Garmin race predictor. My 5k is estimated too fast (16.25 vs 17.00), and my 10k (35.30 vs 34.30) and up is estimated too slow. But I also put more effort in improving the longer distance. On average I think it works pretty well, but I find the trends more valuable than actual numbers.
