Lmao, I guess “Keep It Simple, Stupid” seems to be the superior philosophy.
It’s hard to make something simple. Much easier (and more profitable) to make an overengineered piece of crap that will require your Certified Specialist ™ for any repairs
And a high volume of spare parts you manufacture and sell to keep it running
