as I bring you a 2008 comic about an event that happened…
Back when we thought he would be the most stupid president ever.
I hate that man with a burning fiery passion. But now that we’ve gone so much worse… at times I miss him.
I don’t, I know Trump was a terrible and treasonous president but the damage the Bush administration caused the world is much worse. Millions of innocent civilians died because of his war on terror, all founded on a lie.
Even worse, before that lie, the CIA funded and propped up both regimes in prior years leading up to all of that (see Blowback seasons 1 and 4). The American government’s obsession with oil and anti-communism have destabilized so much of the world that it is actively making lives worse for the vast majority of people in the world, in one way or another.
A few years back Will Ferrell resurrected his George Bush impression for Not the White House Correspondents Dinner on TBS.
He strolled on stage, smoking a cigarette, took a drag and said, “How do you like me now?” The whole thing was hilarious.
It was a more innocent time.
He’s definitely not stupid, he put on an act to seem more relatable, but he was still sharp. Still a war criminal tho
“The only regret I have is that I only had two shoes.” -Muntazer al-Zaidi, based king
15 years ago. Time flies…
So did the shoe
How does that feel both shorter and longer than it actually was?
Adulthood gothic
I know I’ve spent too much time in Asia when I see nothing wrong with the picture and needed to go to the comments to find out why. I still don’t get it.
He was giving a press conference and an angry middle eastern guy threw shoes at him (a big insult).
He waved off his secret service, electing to dodge the shoes. To this day I think he was like “finally I get to do something fun”
Simpler times.
He was a much nicer war criminal for sure. Likeable guy in a way
I’m still kinda bummed out he was able to dodge both shoes
You could definitely give someone a concussion if you hocked a wooden clog at them.
I don’t get it :/
Someone threw a shoe at US president George W. Bush back in the day. That’s pretty much it.

This is a nice window into the past
