I like podcasts more on the vegetable side of the spectrum than the candy side. This is what I’ve exhausted so far: The Dollop, Citations Needed, 5 - 4, Revolutions, Blowback, The History of Rome, The Audit, Hardcore History
Should I go back to Robert Fedvans and the Belling Cat Bad Guys Show with 3 ad breaks an hour?
I don’t want to listen to audiobooks outside of my commute because I’m way too distracted. All day I’m remembering 3-5 digit numbers while scanning through other numbers to find the matching ones. I need something interesting that I can zone in and out of
You should listen to the Matt & Chris joints, hell of presidents and hell on earth
Ghost stories for the end of the world is an EXCELLENT parapolitics history podcast but the host is maaaad detailed and likes to tie threads across multiple episodes in a series so you need to pay attention, but no more than blowback
Hell on earth is so good and full of information it’s crazy.
Ghost stories for the end of the world
Definitely seconding this one. Just keep the volume controls close, because the vocal track is always quieter than the break-music tracks.
You got a link for the Hell on Earth playlist?
The chapo black wolf feed has all the episodes, too. Not in a Playlist, but they’re pretty close to one another.
Radio War Nerd might be up your alley.
If you’re interested in Japanese history, I’d recommend the History of Japan Podcast, by Isaac Arthur
Rev Left, Red Menace, The Minyan, Respect The Dead
Came to recommend Rev Left and Red Menace. Also all of their sibling podcasts are good too.
Can’t help but feel that Age of Napoleon and Hell of Presidents are missing from that list
That lib podcast on John Brown wasn’t half bad

Also, a bunch of Parenti speeches
I was just talking about it on another thread, but if you enjoy history and shit posting you’re gonna love We’re not So Different. A medievalist and a lay person talk about how people in the medieval period were very similar to us.
It’s really enjoyable, and there’s a looooooong backlog.

Eat The Rich is like behind the bastards, but good and not done by a fed
There’s six different feeds with that name. Is it the one with the dinner fork and sickle icon?
I think it has a large burlap sack with hammer and sickle, but when I look at that feed, there’s nothing there. Weird
