The authors said on Twitter that they aren’t EA’s, but they surveyed people at valley AI companies to write the report, so it’s probably quite influenced by EAs.
Limiting AI in America will just make us less likely to compete with AI developed in the rest of the world.
What does that even mean, does AI have a nationality? And compete on what? Are we going to pit the USA AI against the French AI in a cage match?
When AI is finding zero days and tearing down firewalls, do you want to have a limited number of graphics processors running our defense?
