    This is great. I love this this has an elevation model built in. Way more tree cover than I thought. Makes me want to visit

      Same! I’m surprised how little agricultural land there is in Japan though. I wonder how dependent on imports they are.

        I think largely, but also, not shown on the map is their fishing industry. Seafood has been a huge staple for them for eons.

    Cool map. It’s interesting how Korea looks much more sparse but its population density is actually much higher. I also never realized how much more farm land there is. You take a train down south and it’s sesame farms for miles, with rolling green hills in the backdrop.
