I always seem to get caught out without my sentries - any tips for how often to build or move sentries? Any tips for engineer overall?
Any time your sentries are out of range from you press and hold reload to recall them to you. This makes their next deployment go way faster and also reloads them.
Other than that I’d say try to play as though you don’t have them, and lay em down any time you know you’ll be in an area for a fight.
I have seen the hold r to recall sentries but I always forget about it until I’m right by them. Thanks for the tip!
A bit generic, but do not neglect looking into the various grenade options you have.
This goes for all classes really.
Some grenade types can really synergize with your build or they can be the tool that gets you out of those situation where your build had shortcomings.
The engineer has some really good choices.
Unlocking the different weapons are also worth it. Some are better for different mission types and others might just suites your play style better regardless.
