I’m not sure I’d agree, but it hurts more for the people who didn’t have any wealth to begin with.
The wealthy don’t seem to mind helping their children as much since they have so much wealth at their disposal anyway.
Anecdotally, the rich people I know have gone above and beyond to support their kids into adulthood no matter how poorly those kids managed their finances.
