It is much easier to remember that an Astronomical Unit is 150 gigameters than 1.5 x 10^8 kilometers
Is learning prefixes easier than remembering exponents?
Coming from someone who only uses metric, I find the opposite and only use meters and exponents.
Speed of light: 3 x 10^8 m/s
1 AU: 1.5 x 10^11 m
etc.
