Hey, I am a little bit annoyed by moving stuff around on between different characters. The easy solution is to put stuff in shared inventory slots. The big question is: How many should you get?
Currently I have four slots filled with three infinte salvage kits and a lounge pass. I can think of other items like the Birthday Cake, Position Rewinder or the White Mantle Portal Device.
I am curious what you keep in your shared slots.
Copper fed salvage. The Metabolic Primers and the Utility primers. Arborstone pass. Lily of the Elon Pass. Power Food, Condi food, power and condi utilities. The Research kit from EOD. A few other things that I can’t remember.
Food is definitely something I nood to add. Currently three slots are occupied by mist potions, but I can merge them soon and put regular bufffood in the slots.
Copper fed salvage, Armistice Bastion Pass and four slots for guild siege.
Full Set (28)
This will look terrible witch the 29th slot from purchasing SotO … haha.
Also, I’m a big fan of account-wide QoL improvements and willing to pay money for them, hence I have the full set of the shared slots, unlimit gathering tools, Copper-Fed Salavage Kit (the silver-fed isn’t worth it, use a mystic kit instead), Lounge Pass(es), Material Storage Expansion up to 1K, etc.
Of course the value of account-wide upgrades increases with the number of characters you (actively) play on your account. To me the Shared Slots are a very high priority and I’d buy them before any cosmetic items or BL keys or equipment/build templates from the gem store.
Have no answer on you question about how many shared slots are enough, but mine are filled with:
- Mystic Salvage Kit
- Copper-Fed Salvage-o-Matic
- Runecrafter’s Salvage-o-Matic
- Mistlock Sanctuary Passkey
- Blue, Green, Yellow unid gear (I always keep of each in there, so all unids from all characters would go in one place)
- Season 3, 4 and Icebrood portal tomes
- Feast of Delectable Birthday Cake
- Prototype Position Rewinder
- Infinite Mist Omnipotion
I probably would like to add a waystation and at least one of the candy gobblers in there. Maybe fractal encryption keys, TP to friend and some enhancement, too.
Depends on the account but generally what get priority is
- one of some kind of salvaging kit
- Mistlock Sanctuary/Lily of Elon
- Arborstone ( the bill of teleporting to cantha rack up too quickly without it)
- LS4 Tome ( to just get characters who haven’t been there before more than costs)
- LS3 Tome ( winterberries)
- Icebrood saga Tome ( same as LS4)
- Position Rewinder ( for those pesky JPs as I am terrible with the classes that got their own teleports)
- Invitation to the party
- Converters (too much bloodstone, dragonite and empyreal fragments)
Recyclers, TP to friend, and unbreakable gathering tools to share between alts
I have seen gathering tools being mentioned often, but I would probably forget to put them into the slot anyway.
For the tps I am quite lucky, I have about 350 of them from the years of playing.
It’s a good idea to have a set of normal (orichalcum) gathering tools on your characters by default so that you just need to double-click on the shared slots to swap the unlimit tools in and out. And you are not “naked” (in front of a orichalcum node) in case you forgot to swap back the unlimit tools on another character.
I would recommend replacing the Silver-Fed with Mystic Salvage Kits if you have stones to spare. It’s less gold per salvage :)
I have a lot of stones to spare, but it’s pretty convenient to have an infinite salvage kit.
I make a mystic salvage kit any time that mystic forge is the daily.
This gives me enough of them to throw 2 or 3 on every character I have (~20) with spares in the bank, using them for anything rare or exotic (unless I want the upgrade, which requires a BL kit).
