hello,
i do use
@ magazine @ kbin.social (does work),
while @m/magazine | m/magazine doesn’t work.
but if a user with this @ exist in the fediverse, it does try to link to the user instead of the magazine?
here an example: @lain
another way would to be simply [link] but isn’t there a easier way?
is there a post/site where things like this are clarified? didn’t found one yet.
:)
@e569668
interesting, on fedia it is !groupname? :o
EDIT: for your fedia it is, but not her on /kbin :(
but good to know!!
test: !help (when i do it it shows now !help but doesn’t link to it :,D)
fedia is kbin, we’re both on the same platform…
wait, I see that as
!Help
as a link but on kbin. social it was expanded tohttps://kbin.social/m/Help
. Now I’m even more confused, we’re on the same platformyes it turns into a url on kbin if you post it on fedia (on fedia it is a clickable !name), but when i do it over here, it does simply turn into !name, not a link ;)
There is https://codeberg.org/Kbin/kbin-core/issues/199 but since it’s a few weeks old and it seemed to work on fedia I assumed it would work on kbin. social as well 🤔
@e569668
hope they fix it soon.
but this is what i needed! thanks for sharing 💕💕💕
Even with the domain, though? Just want to make sure you’re typing
!Help@kbin.social
and not!Help
, as I think the full domain is required. I should get an activitypub client so I can look at the raw events at some point…@e569668

Interesting, I now see that text has the class
mention--unresolvable
… Hmm, I hate to ask more of you but just to double check, do you mind doing it asHelp
, just in case it’s a case sensitivity issue?@e569668
!Help
EDIT: would like to try some more, is there a fedia.io magazine i could try to “!”?
@PCGaming !PCGaming
it’s a local instance issue “https://codeberg.org/Kbin/kbin-core/issues/199”
like CoderKat stated at his last post there
could you try to link PCGaming@fedia.io, i’m sure it doesn’t gonna work for you ?
Ah sorry, didn’t get a notification for your message
