I’ve been a loyal adherent of the great INDEX(MATCH) for years, but I will have to look at this XLOOKUP deity to see if I should convert.

Sad, that’s what they taught us in college ~2017 but XLOOKUP is just that but better and less typing

I know that XLOOKUP is probably better, but I just like my lil INDEX(MATCH) for some reason. You couldn’t pay me to convert (you probably could)

I only recently discovered this function, and it’s been a lifesaver. I work in construction, going through big tables that outline all the doors in the project, and every once in awhile they put out an addendum that completely changes the order all the doors are listed in, adding new ones and changing bits and pieces along the way. It used to take me hours or even days of sorting to salvage the work I put in, getting it reorganized to fit the new table in the crappy construction spreadsheet program we have. Now I can just copy everything to excel, use vlookup, and reorder all my data to the new table in minutes!

And XLOOKUP is actually superior to INDEX MATCH. It even has an ERRORIF function baked into it! 😱

I don’t understand letting a dealership put an advertisement around your plate. A dealership tried to do that to my car when I brought it in for service. I made them take it off.

Flip it - put the trim piece behind your plate. Reduces some of the rattling and removes the sharp edge while also doing its job and keeping plastic out of a landfill

I definitely took it off when I moved and got new plates. Otherwise, I felt similarly but was too lazy to do it myself.
