Took me some time and struggled with choosing the right colors at first, but I’m super happy with how it turned out!

I used this pattern from etsy!

It’s great! Looks like something I remember my mom or other people wearing in the 1970s, but you picked much better colors.

I feel like the colors are the same as what I saw my mom wear and the Afghan we had on the back of the couch, but they’re emphasized differently. Like the black was much more prominent making the old ones darker.

I like this much better. It’s pretty awesome.

Thank you! The flashy colors distract really well from all the botch hahah

Thank you! Love the pattern as well! Took me some attempts to decide on the colors, but I think they harmonize really well now : )

Weee fancy colors! Though your fingers betrayed you, they say it was actually the second.

Well technically … I did start a different one before that, but then quickly switched to this one because it’s better suitable for summer 😅

It is! I’m glad I could find some really soft yarn for this -

It is a bit tedious, since you need quite a few of those patches, but to me it was a fun thing to do to relax! Took me about 4 weekends on and off working on it : )

That’s actually a lot less than I would’ve thought. I’ll simply assume you simply know what you’re doing and I’d probably take more like 40.

I do have a lot of time on my hands on weekends, admittedly. But once you get in the zone the patches are really easy to make! especially since it’s basically just the two patterns

Well done! I really like the colours and the pattern. Does the bottom hem have a sawtooth kind of edge? Is it made of diamonds or did you fill in the gaps with triangles?

It’s just the diamonds, so yes, it doesn’t have a straight bottom hem!

I could have sworn it’s impossible to make crochet clothes that are so easily wearable nowadays. I have to admit, the colorful patches do remind me a bit of potholders we had when I was a kid, but it’s faint and the cardigan looks great, maybe the nostalgia even adds to it.

Honestly, that “potholders” nostalgia is just what made me love this pattern so much :D I like the weird vibe, but I think it’s just in such a way that it still looks nice hahah

I linked the pattern I got from etsy in the post, you just need some yarn and patience :D
