My kid. I know cliche, but everything else sucks so…
My nephew is 2 and he is single handedly keeping my sanity in check.
Kids are great, even if you’re not a parent. Trying to convince younger generations they can’t have kids is one of the worst things humanity has ever done.

This is totally projection, but my little one’s current thing is to make little houses for her toy figurines out of magnatiles…she’s literally providing them with free housing and ensuring they’re well furnished…”Neal needs a house, I’m going to make it for him”
My kids really do recharge my batteries. I always do a “big hug” with my oldest (3 1/2) before we get into bedtime stories, we count to 20 and then flop on the bed. Last night, she started giving me silly smooches every other number. It was funny, it tickled, so I couldn’t help but laugh, which only made her laugh more. Just a pure moment of joy at the end of the night.
Not to be even more cliché, but it really do be like this sometimes:
Every child of the world is my child. I don’t really like kids but I want them all to be protected and educated and fed and happy.
