It’s no surprise Tiktok basically destroyed two entire generations, one such way is via reduce attention spans due to overexposure. I am looking for a way to extend it long enough to do even basic tasks because this basically affects a big chunk of of what I do: modding, editing, art, etc.

Books? I do have 7 of them. Calligraphy, I still do it (with a ballpoint of course). Heading on a trip to Samar soon so I hope it helps.

There isn’t really an easy answer or silver bullet to addiction/dependence. All you can do is say no to yourself. It isn’t easy.

My phone has tools for tracking app use, try using those to reduce time spent if yours does too. If you find you’re unable to moderate, go cold turkey. Try to replace it with longer content and slowly work up. Careful not to just form another dependency. Try device free periods. A time you choose where you can’t use any devices unless necessary. Avoid situations that can cause you to think of it. Ask your friends to not share things from there with you if they do.

This is all generic advice, but I hope it helps.
