How does she not see how entirely confusing her content is for her followers? “I’m not good. I’m struggling. I was on couch watch” to “I’m good I promise” talking about her health…

I suspect op did something wrong, there’s no image attached to the initial post here.

Might be a bug in their client if they’re using one.

FYI you can just tag admin@lemmy.ca and that’ll notify us all too via a shared chat.

Alright. @Cheesecake@lemmy.ca, which app or website did you use to upload the picture?

Oh that’s cool for the admin ping, how did you do that? Is that built-in in Lemmy? First time I see this.

I probably have done something wrong, originally. I’m just using the lemmy.ca website at the moment. I remembered I can edit my posts here, so I went back and uploaded it again and it seems to have worked.

When you uploaded the image, did you use a keyboard shortcut to paste it or did you use the upload button?

I haven’t noticed this before but I can poke around

She’s on a high right now because she hit 2.4 million when it wasn’t too long along she was on a steady decline to 2.2. She’s a walking contradiction.

She only hit 2.4 mil followers because she bought them, though. But I guess if anyone believes their own hype, it’s definitely her.

I don’t care if she doesn’t work out but man the lying is so damn obvious. If she worked out she wouldn’t constantly look “perfect” on stories. She’d get those flyaways from sweat, the makeup would run, the hair would be tied back, etc. No she doesn’t work out. She sits at home on her bed or couch and posts nontent. I’d love to see some healthy living content from these bopo nutcases.

The point of the bopo movement, though, isn’t about healthy living. It’s about accepting bodies exactly as they are. It’s about all bodies being worthy of respect.

Yeah I do understand that. I guess I don’t fully agree with the bopo movement as I don’t see the body as worthy of respect but the human in that body. I’m sure someone with a similar body to her would appreciate seeing that not all active bodies look like super athletes. Especially when someone like TBP is going to gloat about being runner to all her followers.

People are annoyed by the body positive movement not for its roots by for who took it over. People with privilege are again taking over a movement. I recommend going to read the article called “#BodyPositive? A critical exploration of the body positive movement within physical cultures taking an intersectionality approach” by Meridith Griffin, K. Alysse Bailey and Kimberly J. Lopez.

In the paper, they examine is how capitalized and white the movement because. Like how only white, cis, fitter or mid sized individuals are the ones using the movement to amplify themselves and that there’s a lack of representation by those that started the movement, and the removal of the platforms of LGBTQIA2S + , older people, actually plus sized people, and disabled people in favor of heavy set or fit white people. They also talk about how it was “commodified and packaged into a product or service for consumption.”

The true body positive movement is to be intersectional, and not meant to make white people (who don’t face as many barriers), money.
