Is having hundreds of lab mice inherently illegal?
ETA: Nevermind … less story to read than anticipated from Ars. I did audibly laugh at the big break in the case being a code violation for a garden hose. That’s like movie-level “how were they competent enough to pull the rest of this off, only to be foiled by a hose?” entertainment.
If done covertly without care for animal welfare it probably is, or I think it should be. Animal drug testing is already ethically dubious with oversight…
