In terms of waste, you can say that about literally everything we consume. Yeah, and we need to stop. It’s literally going to drive us to extinction, along with countless other species. This kind of apathy is disgusting.

Because it’s not actually useful, it’s just poison.

It can be useful. It’s a great surface for doing any form of outdoor exercise on.
Pretty absurd to pretend any of its uses come close to outweighing the negatives.
