It’s worse than that. One of my conservative friends (I know, but it’s practically the only variety of people around here) told me he could always tell whether or not someone was trans… I showed him a picture of Molly Ringwald in Breakfast Club and he said “trans” lol.
But of course he felt like it didn’t count, because I “tricked” him. 🙄
I always wonder why they care so much.
My ex-girlfriend was really transphobic, and i didn’t even know, because it never really came up.
One day we were grocery shopping and she pointed at some dude and asked me if i think she’s a “tranny”. I was really confused and didn’t even look and said i really don’t care.
A few weeks later we went to a concert and she pointed at a guy with long hair and said: “that guy is 100% a woman”. I said: “who gives a shit, maybe?” She just kept poking. “Does she think we don’t know?” I got so angry and told her to shut up, he’s just trying to live his life. Then she started a huge fight saying that i’m siding with other people instead of her.
And these same people will call a cis woman a man or tranny just because she has wide shoulders and a square jaw.
