I was sitting a few rows behind some rowdy British teens on holiday the other day and between skibbidi and the British slang, I understood none of what they had said. Is this what getting old feels like?
Ngl I went and watched the entire hour plus combination of the entire original Skibidi thing, or at least I think it was, to try and get it. all I thought was “This is definitely something I would have found entertaining as a dumb kid/teenager.” lol. It’s pretty dumb, legitimately, but I have seen dozens of way more cringe TV shows, movies, and animes no question. I now understand why you have people ripping on it and other being like “I don’t get the hate?” It’s literally just a dumb little war skit similar to anything any kids imagine up of monsters fight aliens or whatever except its… Like dumb toilet heads and people made of appliances. Like if someone animated drawings made by kids, this is what you’d get.
I legitimately think at this point the hate is just millennials turning into boomers and finding things about the younger generations they don’t understand and then removed about them. Kids are always gonna do and like shit that the older generation thinks is dumb. It’s literally all of human history is old people removed about young people. This is just the next thing.

I absolutely agree with you. I remember how my parents said I was watching something stupid or even playing computer games was childish, because only children play games lol. With this experience of mine in mind, I try to understand what younger generations like or not. My biggest nightmare is to become like older people and then think:“Young people are all doing XZY and watching XZY, back in my days we did this and this!” or “We are doomed, this generation is stupid because skibidi toilet” while in the meantime being to dumb to understand cultural products like Dostoevsky or Göthe.
I like to think I’m young and up to date but then shit like this pops up and I have to reconsider
