I feel like a weiner for saying this but I haven’t watched Seinfeld since I found out Jerry Seinfeld is a rabid Zionist. It’s hard to explain.

I mean, I used to be a huge fan of the show and watched it almost every day.

I don’t understand why people are so weirdly snarky on Lemmy

Cause this take is so weird. May as well not watch anything. I bet you love Guillermo del Toro but he supports Polanski and wants him pardoned, pretty much anytime in Hollywood and on earth, you can remove from your life with that logic since nobody will ever be up to your standards. Weird to throw people away cause they don’t agree with you on something

I don’t even know who Guillermo del Toro is. I know Benecio Del Toro and I love his acting though. Polanski’s a piece of shit and I can’t say I’m a fan of any celebrity that supports him.

Weird to throw people away cause they don’t agree with you on something

Are we talking about a disagreement on what cereal is the best, or are we talking about whether one can enjoy the works of a person after finding out they’re a bigot, a rapist, etc? Because I think this is a little more than a small disagreement, so characterizing it as any old disagreement seems disingenuous.

People aren’t a monolith, either. I’m a a POC and was shocked when Michael Richards went on his racist tirade. Personally, I’ve met black people who have and haven’t been willing to accept his many apologies and everyone’s reasoning is different.

If a rape victim found out her favorite musician was a rapist, are you really telling me it would be weird of her to throw that artist away because he’s a rapist?

I mean the first episode ain’t all that great, I love the show and continually rewatch it but it really didn’t become ‘Seinfeld’ until like season 4

      Season 4!? That’s crazy talk

The second season had The Chinese restaurant episode, and The jacket episode

The third season had The Parking Garage, and The Nose Job, all legendary episodes.

A lot of shows keep the pilot as the first episode, which I often skip in rewatches because pilots seldom feel like the later show. What’s your fave Seinfeld episode? Mine might be either the Serenity Now one or the Festivus one (I guess I like Frank Costanza a lot :)

Mhm. And looking at the cast in the Pilot versus 2nd episode (Spanish 101, where Señor Chang makes his debut), it makes me think the decision-makers decided they needed another exciting character after the pilot and added Chang then
