I use Google Assistant extensively. I use it for home automation control. Math. Basic search. Defining words. Telling you who wrote that book, who was in that movie. Song identification. Weather. Setting calendar events. Adding things to lists, named lists… omg, all the time. If you create routines in google home, it gets even better. Google also recently released a scripting tool for it as well. I definitely have my issues with it, but it’s got way more use cases and potential than you imply.
