A whistleblower who revealed the danger of a ransomware attack and subsequent data leak in Columbus, will now only be permitted to share his research on compromised sensitive information with city officials who are suing him.

This case is fucking wild. The person is trying to do a public service by trying to warn people about a data breach and getting sued for it by the city that wants to cover its own incompetence at your expense.
It says he can give data to the police, and can distribute data to the public only if the gov’t agrees is allowed by the public records act, but only if he gets written permission. Not much of an agreement if you ask me.
