    To people talking about “sinking ship”. I don’t think that’s it.

    This is regular “I bought the IPs and customers perception of your history, not the actual human value of actual creators” from Microsoft.

    Microsoft need the “CoD concepts” that force their platform (whatever Xbox/Windows may be) in the industry; anything else, doesn’t matter.

    70 billion dollars and they can’t afford to pay the employees.

      Hardly Microsoft alone. Sony sunk billions into Bungie. Around 20%+ OF THE TOTAL WORKFORCE have been laid off at bungie just in 2024.

        RTO just means “layoffs” under a different branding. These gross companies know how to be extra gross. When they really want to actually do a big layoff, that’s when they’ll roll out the “RTO” policy.
