It breaches the surface often because it is a violent current.
We hear so much about Denmark in the media, the twitter post about McDonald’s workers became a meme. Perhaps this post informs some comrades who might not be aware of these things.
Copying parts of my comment from a world news thread, because the world news post was about NS bombing.
Denmark is one of the centers of Capital, it is a capitalist, imperialist country. A nation of racists led by racists. The ruling “social-democrats” literally copied the foreign policy of the far-right kick-all-immigrants-out party.
Denmark was the one who brought the idea to the EU that asylum seekers should be put in a camp in Rwanda while they await an answer to their asylum application.
Denmark is the country where they designate certain areas of cities as ghettoes, literally ghettoes. The two main criteria to designate an area a “ghetto”: 1) more than 50% residents with a non-Western background (1st generation immigrants from outside the West, Muslims, brown people, etc.), 2) large number of unemployed (not sure of the percentage). Ghetto areas have increased police presence where police can stop and search anyone at any time, any fine you get in a ghetto is doubled. It is open class war.
The ghetto law is finally, after years in existence, being challenged in the EU supreme court cause the residents of one of the ghettoes are suing the Danish government. A public hearing was planned for the 30th of September of this year. There is no mention of it in the EUCJ press releases. According to [this article behind a paywall] the EUCJ has “opened a case” into it. Whatever that means.
EU media avoids talking negatively about the EU when it comes to things that might ruin its image of a neoliberal rainbow paradise.
I hate the EU so fucking much it’s unreal.
It is open class war.
Reads more like a race war tbh.
The two go hand in hand, because immigrants from non-Western countries tend to also be the poorest.
What the fuck? I’ve never heard about this.
Yeah, i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again: anyone who’s ever visited Denmark knows it’s probably one of the most racist countries in Europe, and that’s saying something because the whole continent is extremely racist.
