Ahh, so that’s a bug. Always see someone comment on unrelated post, yet i know for sure what post they’re trying to comment on.

This is some weird throwback. Back when Lemmy was using web sockets (before Reddit blocked third-party apps) there was a bug where a page would update with different content, but replies would go to the original post (iirc), but it was fixed ages ago.

I submit the idea that, going forward when this happens, we try to guess the actual post the irrelevant* comments belong to as a sort of chronically-online-loser competition. Have you scrolled Lemmy so much that you can guess the correct post for this happy accident comment? Lmao

I’ve occasionally seen posts get the wrong thumbnail generated for the link when I share it to apps lol

Wow, this photo made me finally understand the purpose of life. Thank you for sharing this.

It changed my life and I’m happy I was able to see this unique masterpiece with my very own eyes. I’m not sure I could live anymore without ever seeing this.

I’ve never had this happen to me on Connect, Jerboa, or Voyager, maybe it’s a frontend/web issue?

    It’s funny AF tho

Hmm, I’ve had a few of those happen. I had assumed I was tired and clicked the wrong thing because there were both articles I read. Now I wonder…
