I used to ask these a lot during Photon’s early development, but I decided to do one now.
Are there any major features you’d like added or issues you’d want fixed?
I know this is a million years old, but it seems as good a place as any.
The stock web-ui now includes an ‘add image url’ option. I’d love to see that included in photon too.
Edit: emoji picker in the post box would be dope too.
It’s been great to be honest.
I just wish there was a couple features for when creating a submission or a comment:
- Picture drag and drop - when adding a picture to a submission, you could add it by dragging it and dropping it to the dialog that shows up to pick a picture (also maybe adding a picture by its URL address would be great);
- When replying to a comment, you could create quoted text directly by selecting the text from the comment you’re replying to, so said selected text will show up as quoted in your text input area when you hit the reply button - Reddit does this and it’s a nice feature to have versus copying, pasting and editing it so it turns to a quoted text
Late and small, but on the drop downs for things like subscriptions, about pages, moderators, and things like that. The arrow shouldn’t switch sides when selecting it. Thanks for all you do!
For people who run a Lemmy instance, maybe an automatic way to deploy photon instead of lemmy-ui ? (Like an ansible role)
