Pixel 6, Android 13, Messages 20230711_01_RC01
Does anyone else have this issue? When I search for specific text there are just no results if it’s too far back, maybe more than a few months? If I go into a convo and scroll past the text i’m looking for, the in-convo search will work, but that doesn’t make it very useful. I feel like it must be my phone or something because I don’t see how a bug this big could be in their flagship messaging app. Also taking suggestions on other RCS-compatible apps that aren’t dogshit.

I was able to easily search messages as far back as 2022(my last backup) Granted it says RC02 and this is a Samsung specific messages app version on a samsung device. But, it works. Maybe, you can try to clear its data after you backup your messages or install and/or uninstall updates.
