As the main base of this site, we, the users, must call for Carcosa to rescind their resignation immediately.
It is apparent to me that they are a widely beloved admin, and from the 2 or 3 times I have interacted with them, it is obvious why that is the case. Their approach to the administration and moderation of this site is admirable, and I worry we will be lost without them.
As has been stated in other threads, if they feel stepping away is for their own well-being, we must respect that decision and simply thank them for their excellent service to the site.
That said, please join me in showing our appreciation and admiration for Carcosa.

I disagree with the Inciting Decision, but even more strongly disagree with Carcosa stepping down over it. They have shown time and again that they’re an excellent leader and admin, and the site will be diminished if we lose that. A mea culpa about how the decision was made is fine I guess, and self-crit is always great for anyone with any power, but losing one of our most competent and caring admins is not going to make this better.
