minus-squarerowrowrowyourboat@sh.itjust.workslinkfedilinkarrow-up20arrow-down4·1 month agoSerious question: How is this poetry? Isn’t this just prose formatted in a weird way?
minus-squareYingwu@lemmy.dbzer0.comlinkfedilinkarrow-up23arrow-down2·1 month agoProse can be poetry too. I don’t get why people should always want to criticize poetry, or art, for not being “proper”. Poetry is there to reach inside the heart and to make you feel something. Nothing less, nothing more.
minus-squareValmond@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up1arrow-down8·1 month agoIt sure makes me feel something. I doubt the author wanted me to feel that way lol.

minus-squareValmond@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up2arrow-down15·1 month agoThat formatting is the worst, cudos to the enormous blanks too, wtf.
minus-squareYingwu@lemmy.dbzer0.comlinkfedilinkarrow-up6arrow-down1·1 month agoPoetry is both the sound and the silence. Without the silence and the breaks, there can’t be any poetry.
minus-squareValmond@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up3arrow-down13·edit-21 month agoSure, but this is not poetry spaces, it’s just badly cut up text IMO. You think it is done intentionally? Like some post modernist style?
