I’ve been boycotting Walmart for fuck, 7 years now holy shit. I have not lost out on anything by not shopping with them, except for maybe I have fewer shitty low quality products in my house.
The only thing Walmart is any good for is either for communities that they have waltzed in and put the local grocers out of business so that they control the only food source in a 10 to 20 mile radius, (not that that’s good but if you’re in that situation you got to fucking shop at Walmart) and typically their produce is slightly fresher and higher quality than a lot of other places like kroger, because they have the turnover needed to keep fresh produce fresh.
But if you can shop at a farmers market you’re probably going to get fresher healthier food at roughly equivalent prices.
My boycott of Walmart strengthens.
Time to shop at farmers’ markets, independent grocers and Costco.
