If you can pay for a “expensive item” twice you’re obviously not going to get the same product twice (unless it’s needed) but being able to afford it twice provides you freedom over it. Owning expensive items takes up mental space. It creates little pockets of doubt over losing it or damaging it or maintaining said item.

If you can’t afford to lose the item etc IT OWNS YOU! But if you can afford it twice then YOU OWN THE ITEM! It’s good sound advice financially and psychologically.
