Summary

A Clean Label Project report found concerning levels of lead and cadmium in protein powders, especially plant-based, organic, and chocolate-flavored varieties.

Nearly 80% of plant-based products exceeded California’s Proposition 65 safety limits for lead, with chocolate-flavored powders containing up to 110 times more cadmium than vanilla.

Heavy metals naturally occur in soil but can be elevated by industrial contamination.

While BPA and BPS contamination has decreased since 2018, 47% of powders tested still exceeded Prop 65 limits.

Experts recommend whey-based or pea protein powders for lower contamination levels.

This conspiracy holds absolutely no water. Lead makes people stupid and violent. Democrat voters tend to be more educated on average. This isn’t even to mention that the families of these politicians would be consuming these poisons too, right? They’re okay with this because of the grand conspiracy to create dem/repub voters in a country with only 2 parties anyway? Have you even compared regulations in the US to other places?

not a conspiracy that heavy metals are acceptable and that big wallets are controlling regulations and standards that keep them in power through things like controlling the environment of the people thereby keeping them sick and yes this happens globally with other countries having even lower big industry regulations that keep factories polluting the earth with the heavy metals in exorbitant amounts that eventually wind up in things we consume

people are not just kept in poverty and controlled by wages but also pollution
