(Note that the quoted bit I’m replying to ends after the word “…issue” and my words begin at “What a fucking…”)

In roughly 30 years online, across a wide variety of communities on a wide variety of platforms, zero of them would have removed that comment as “trolling.”

Except .ml, apparently.

It’s not even praising trump. The only thing that gives me hope about the cease fire is the amount of Muslim countries who signed on. I don’t think they’d be involved if they didn’t think it is genuine.

I hold no faith. I think the USA and Israel wipe their ass with the opinions of Muslim countries (not to mention things like international courts) and will continue the genocide if they feel it benefits them. In fact, I’m pretty certain even all this, and the show of “political power” by trump is just political theater. The Israelis already got what they wanted (bulldozing Gaza), and now Trump gets to look strong. It feels to me this was all planned and there’s a lot of suckers, even in radical spaces apparently, falling for it.

I’m taking the wait and see approach, trust me I’m pretty cynical and don’t trust any leader (hence anarchist). I’m hopeful about the Muslim countries signing on - why bother if they don’t think it’s legit?

Again, maybe it’s legit, but even if it is, I can’t shake the feeling that this is another “iran hostages” situation where Trump requested a delay to the cease fire so he can take the credit. It lines up way too fucking perfectly again.

Oh totally. But that also means that this entire time biden could of but didn’t stop the genocide. Supposedly trumps guy threatened israel. I’d love to know what the treat was. I’m betting no more blank checks.

Of course Biden could stop it at any time! I’m not giving any defense to that shit. But I caution not to fall for “strong man” plays which has happened already in the past and end up acting like propaganda tools. The threat was probably more like “ok act as agreed and raise some complaints about it in the media to sell it”. Trump is famously conflict averse.

Oh I hardly see him as a strong man. But you’re right about conflict adverse. I think his only genuine trait is that he really doesn’t have a taste for war and would rather have peace. He’s been pretty consistent about that since before he entered politics. I actually believe a lot of the smears against him are the work of the military industrial complex being mad that he’s not coming up with endless wars for them and instead ending them. He’s also a piece of shit, but I don’t recall anyone going as hard against GWB for example. GWB fed the war machine.

Don’t think I’m pro trump, I’m not. The only thing I find redeeming about him is the anti war stuff. And it’s still too early to say how israel will go. I hope the ceasefire is successful.
