I have a big collection of images that i want to view them in order, so i need a gallery app that remember the last seen image so i can continue from there. Does such a gallery app exists, i checked dozens of galleries apps not implement such a basic but important feature

How about marking them as “favourite” as a bookmark? Fossify gallery (and many other galleries) can do that.
It is tiresome to bookmark everytime. Many time, i also leave the gallery app in background then the app got refreshing, i have to always remember to bookmark
Put them in a zip file, use a comic reader
I use a comic reader but i would like to watch image in slideshow from time to time which i don’t think comics reader have
Then this whole quest is probably doomed to fail.
